To access Online Help: After you have logged on, click Help at the top-right corner of any page. Learner Help appears in a pop-up window on top of the page that you are viewing.
Online Help for the Learner provides step-by-step procedures for taking courses and participating in learning events. See the Learner Overview page of Help for a summary of Learner activities.
To navigate within Help: Online
Help uses a two-frame structure, with tabs for the Contents,
Index, and Search
in the left frame (the navigation frame), and the Help text in the right
frame. The Glossary tab is not
used.

Contents tab |
Displays
an expandable Table of Contents. 1. Click a "book" icon to display topics within a given section. • A "closed book" icon indicates un-opened topics. • An "open book" icon indicates that all the topics within the section are displayed. • A "page" icon with a question mark indicates the information for that topic. 2. Click the "page" (question mark) icon to display the topic. |
Index tab

Displays a full list of Help topics. 1. Scroll down the Index list to view a list of Help topics. • To go to a particular section of the index, enter text in the field labeled Type in the keyword to find at the top of the Index. You can enter a single letter from the alphabet, a keyword, or a phrase. 2. Click a topic in the Index list. The full text for that topic appears in the right-hand frame. |
Search tab |
Allows you to search for Help topics that contain a word or phrase that you specify. 1. Enter a word or phrase in the field labeled Type in the word(s) to search for. • If you click the Highlight search results checkbox, then the word or phrase that you search for will be highlighted in the Help topic. • Search results per page is set to 10 by default. Enter a different number if you wish. 2. Click the Go button. • The program displays a list of topic titles that meet your search criteria. Titles are ranked in order of relevance. • If there is more than one page of titles, page buttons and arrows appear at the bottom of the list of titles. (Scroll to the bottom of the list.) 3. Click a title to display the full text for that topic in the right-hand frame. |
Working with the Help pop-up window:
● Click and drag the title bar to move the entire Help window.
● Click and drag the window borders to expand the window to a desired size, or click the maximize button at top-right to display Help as a full page. Click the maximize button again to return to the re-sizable pop-up window.
● Scroll bars allow you to scroll through text in both the left and right frames. (Note the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the left navigation frame and the vertical scroll bar on the side of the right frame in the Help window.)
● Click and drag the vertical divider between the left and right frames to change the width of the frames.
● To hide the left navigation frame, click the "X" in the banner at the top-right side of the frame. To restore the left navigation frame, click Contents, Index, or Search in the banner at the top of the frame.
● To move
from topic to topic in sequence in the left navigation frame, click the
left or right arrow buttons at the top-left side of the frame.
