My Learning Page

To access: After logging on, click My Learning / View Courses and Events in the navigation bar.

The My Learning page lists all courses or learning events in which you have been enrolled.

The My Learning Page is organized with two tabs: Current and Completed. See descriptions for each tab below.

For the Current tab:

·      Courses will be listed under the heading Online Training

·      Events will be listed under the heading Event Training

Status

·      In the Status column, roll your mouse over the graphic symbol to view a description of your status.

·      For a course, the status will be either Not Started or In Progress.

As soon as you click a course title to begin a course, your status will change from Not Started to In Progress.

As soon as you have completed the course, the title of the course will appear on the Completed tab of the My Learning page.

You will be automatically marked as Completed in a course when you complete the individual requirements of that course. The requirements can vary depending on the design of the course. Check with your Instructor or (if no Instructor is listed) use the Contact Us link at the top if the page if you have questions about your status. Note: In addition to the Instructor, the Administrator and Supervisor also have the capability to mark you as Complete.

·      For an event, the status will be Not Started or Waitlisted.

For an event, the Instructor (or Supervisor or Administrator) decides whether to mark you as Completed after your participation in the event. Check with your Instructor or (if no Instructor is listed) use the Contact Us link at the top if the page if you have questions about your status. Until you are marked as Completed, your status will remain listed as Not Started.

As soon as you are marked as Completed in the event, the title of the event will appear on the Completed tab of the My Learning page.

If you are Waitlisted for an event, the event is full and is closed for further enrollment until an opening occurs. If an opening does occur, you will be automatically scheduled for the event and the status will change to Not Started. You will receive an e-mail to notify you that you are scheduled for the event.

Type

·      For all courses, the Type is listed as Online.

·      For events, the Type can be one of the following: Seminar, Class, Live Online Event, Media-Based, or External/Other.

Seminars and Classes are in-person activities.

A Live Online event will include a link for a web conference at a specific date and time.

A Media-Based event refers to learning material that can be available to you in any number of formats - for example, a text, video, or CD. You will be given the location where you can obtain the materials.

External / Other events can indicate your participation in an event outside of the LearningServer application, or can be an event that does not fall within one of the other event categories listed above.

Availability

For a course, availability is listed as Open if there is no restriction on the dates on which the course is offered. If there is a date restriction, the dates of availability will be listed.

·      Events have a specific Start Date and End Date. If the event occurs on one day only, a single date will be listed.

For the Completed tab:

As soon as you have completed a course or event, the title of that course or event moves from the Current tab of the My Learning page to the Completed tab.

·      Courses will be listed under the heading Online Training

·      Events will be listed under the heading Event Training
