To access: After logging on, click the My Profile link at the top right corner of any page.
The My Profile page displays information about your user account. You may be able to modify some of the information on this page, including your User Name Password. You can also choose a personal Language Preference, which allows you to select the language in which you will view the site.
You may see one of two types of My Profile pages, depending on settings chosen by your Administrator.
My Profile Page - Type 1: If your My Profile page includes both a User Name and Password, see the field definitions below.
To change your Profile, enter changes in the appropriate fields and click Modify. Fields in the User Profile include:
· User Name
If you wish to change your User Name, enter the change here. You will also be asked to fill in a Password. You can use the same Password if you choose.
· Password
Your Password will not be displayed. If you wish to change your Password, enter the new Password and type it again in the Confirm Password field.
· Confirm Password
If you change your Password, type it again in the Confirm Password field.
· E-Mail
Your email address will be displayed to Learners on the Course or Event Overview Page (accessible from the Learning Catalog and the My Learning page).
· Language Preference
You can view the site in any of the Languages listed in the Language Preference pull-down menu. For example, if the default language is English, you could view the site in Spanish. After you click Modify, the site will immediately appear in the new language.
Note: If you choose a Language other than English, dates will appear in Day/Month/Year format and time of day will appear in 24-hour format. The date format will change when you have logged off and logged in again.
· Display External Courses *
(The Instructor or Administrator can enter training that a Learner has completed outside of the LearningServer application. If Display External Courses is set to Yes, then the Learner can see a list of External Training that has been entered. The External Training appears under its own heading on the Completed tab of the My Learning page.)
· Department (read-only)
· Location (read-only)
· Job Title (read-only)
· Hierarchy (read-only; for account administration purposes)
· Date Added (read-only; date user account was added to the system)
· Last Modified (read-only; date User Profile was last modified)
My Profile Page - Type 2: If your My Profile page does not include a Password, see the field definitions below. Your full user account information is stored in an external Active Directory. Your organization will inform you if you have Active Directory (which also impacts how you log on).
Field descriptions:
· User Name
The User Name is taken from the Active Directory. Do not modify unless your User Name also changes in the Active Directory; check with your Administrator. (If you change the User Name so that it does not match the Active Directory, you will not be able to log on.)
· Language Preference
